In a move to help advance its lithium exploration, Recharge Resources . (Ticker: RR.c or RECHF for US investors) has welcomed Phillip Thomas as the Chief Operating Officer and Director, marking a significant shift in gears for the company's Pocitos 1 Lithium Brine Project in Salta, Argentina.
Phillip, a seasoned pro with over two decades in the industry, has been in the trenches with the Pocitos 1 project since 2017. His fingerprints are already all over the maiden NI 43-101 report on Pocitos 1. However, this isn't Phillip's first rodeo. He's been around the lithium block, from building the Rincon lithium carbonate project to being the brains behind Lithea Inc's exploration team.
His recent focus on the Ekosolve™ process, a Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technique, has put him at the forefront of lithium extraction innovation. Recharge Resources is all in on Ekosolve™, thanks to its impressive 94.92% lithium extraction and production of 99.89% purity lithium carbonate.
Recharge Resources has laid out the red carpet for Phillip with a set of objectives and equity-based bonuses. Think successful resource estimates, strategic financing and feasibility studies. It's all part of Recharge's grand plan to hit the commercial production milestone.
As Recharge eagerly awaits the completion of process engineering work by Ekosolve Ltd for its extraction process and the relogging of cores derived from drilling activities at the Pocitos 1, the company is strategically positioning itself for a transformative leap in the global lithium market.
The relogging outcomes will contribute to the Company's maiden resource estimate and an updated NI 43-101 report and ultimately, both initiatives aim to advance the company towards its ambitious goal of producing 20,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate per year.
