Sadly, this is a bit of a wild west and these folks know it. If you take 1000 companies that get sued for this type of behaviour, only about 50 get to court, of those only about 5 get a conviction and less than 1 results in any jail time or funds back to the shareholders (Bre-X is a prime example - everyone moved to the Cayman Islands) so the only folk who gain are the Lawyers - I have yet to see ...more
