Tickets have sold out for weeks.

This is expected to be the biggest opening movie
in history.

That's a lot of popcorn sales.
This movie alone will make Cineplex profitable for the year.
The turnaround has begun.

Very good opening but not the best in history, just Tom's best opening.. this movie is bringing the 40+ age group back to theaters as they were the ones reluctant to come back because of covid concerns.

My understanding is, it is the best opening in history: the first opening to net more than US $100 million. Either way, what is it about Tom Cruise? It seems he can't ever, be involved in a flop. Well, I guess he does have good range - Risky Business, Jerry McGuire, Rainman, Top Gun, Mission Impossible, etc. He actually is a good actor I suppose.
