Protest!

I have worked here for years as a manager and ran a successful always profitable branch. I made good money working here I'm not going to lie about that. Let's be real if we didn't make bonus's no one would do this job. How do I sleep at night? I force no one to walk through the door and take money. I didn't give a bleep what they wanted for PPP and DC fees. I gave my customers the options they could have and was fair to them. They were paying my pay cheque and I treated them with respect. Did I get blasted from my RM .. Yeah and I didn't give a bleep! It's sad how many managers didn't stick up for themselves their employees and the clients and caved to being sheep. I was profitable because I worked for the clients more then I worked for the company and in turn I had great clients which made good bonus's As far as layoffs we saw this coming. What was beyond belief was they didn't give us all notice 8 weeks ago and the severance issue would almost have all been solved by now. Work you 8 weeks notice or quit. Who ever is calling the shots these days could have avoided severance payouts easily but no this company has to be shady in every way possible an now rip off its employees. Really is anyone shocked? Did you not know who you were working for? What ever made you believe this company cares about you or valued you? It is what it is ... I for one am milking this as long as possible pay me to do nothing all day till you close and have to pay me my severance guess what I'm doing all day? Fack all! Layoffs happened because there's no work - unfortunately they did temp layoffs to avoid payouts but again let's be real Ontario managers will be gone soon and they will have to pay severance. Clients who want to pay back their debt with me are encouraged to do so but I am chasing no one. There is no interest and I let them know don't pay more then you can afford to. This company has done nothing but lie to us for years. Temp lay off employees to avoid paying them .. stop being sheep! Hit them where it hurts! Thier pockets. Show your CSR's we as managers are standing up for them. April 17th is a triple payday! We should all call in sick shut down Ontario that day .. maybe then they will see us as people who aren't just going to go down with the ship - were going to take that ship down ourselves! What can they do fire us? ha!

The Ontario managers will get the same 13 week temp layoff package and before that expires, CSF will close. Believe me, you will get nothing. Look at the history. Have there ever done the right thing with a court order? What would make you believe they will start now?

My question is this, if a company declares bankruptcy, are they still to pay us severance or do we get added to the long list of creditors and ultimately not get paid?? what about us who have banked vacay time??? We lose that too... I have been thinking... if we work the next 2 weeks seeing payday was today, who is to say they wont file chapter 11 - then what? we worked for nothing??? I wish we as ...more

ATA ... first off "chapter 11" is a US term. In this instance, CSF will go into receivership. During that period, all assets are frozen and no one gets anything. Payroll doesn't come from company cash - they borrow it! Do I think they will able to borrow? NO. Any severance, pay, vacation pay will NOT be there. There have been 100's of instances of that happening. CSF doesn't ...more

There is help available for lost wages, vacation pay, termination pay etc from federal government in case of bankruptcy/receivership. See link below: https://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/sc/wepp/ In case you have a ton of pay to receive( more than $3,738), workers should consider jumping off this ship. I  have been following the comments here for a while. It is sad that this company is ...more
