Some nice volume today , I guess part of it is due to the private share buy back with direct energy. Nice to see company buying back its own shares. Looking forward to hopefully a higher share price between now and the end of the year, also ECI usually does good from December to end of January. Warren

After 5 years of eci being my largest holding I have begun to unwind my position. The company selling equity for $13 a share and buying it back for $15.61 a year later is not something I am happy with. Why were they not buying it back in the low 13's this year? The next tranche of shares become free trading early next year after the final lockup expires. I would not be surprised if they do ...more

I share your concerns Mr. Lansing, but me thinks that another party is on the lurk, so perhaps a takeover bid may be in the works........ECI has been a long term hold for me and I cannot complain, just content to collect the div and plan to hang around to see if a take out eventually occurs. I think we've finally broken above that high that we've tested 3 times in the last 18 months. Thats got to be a good sign.  The reduced float and increased profitability also bodes well for a dividend increase next quarter.

You might be right. Reducing their cash position prior to a buyout is a prudent move. I don't know that reducing the float is however. Come January and February good chance we see a correction and a retest of the $14 level. I may add again if that happens. I have quite often regretted not having any dry powder when ECI drops precipitously on low volume. Which...if you have been here for a ...more
