Nice to see you on the ECI forum. I got beat up badly in March when I suggested this might touch 14 again. But I like to deal in reality and not wishful thinking. ECI is a good company but needs to be brought down in line with other yield stocks. Their balance sheet is not great for a rising rate environment, but I dont think rates will rise fast enough to be a major issue. Don't think the negative press had any real effect on the stock price. I bought this in the $4 range and sold through $15 to $18. I will be a buyer again at $14.

Some nice trading there my friend! I was hoping for a pullback on DIR as I am awaiting my cash from D.UN as I subscribed to the SIB. No way DIR doesnt either go private or simply just see a huge rise in book value with future revenue set to go much higher in the industrial REIT environment. Too many reasons to list here. I'm a long term investor and don't do much buying and selling but 2018 has been quite a different beast. First I had all the dough from the AAR take-over and then my wife got the first part of her inheritance. I hate having cash so I quite quickly found a home for all the dough. I added to some existing holdings - AQN, EMA, NPI, BCE, T, BNS, RY, PPL and initiated new positions in GRT.UN

Sarge, have you looked at Canadian Utilities? It's getting close to a 5 year low.

Hey Opey How she go? At one point I did have a look at it as well as CPX and BLX but decided on other utilities instead. I now hold AQN (since Nov, 2011), BEP.UN (Mar, 2014), EMA (Jan, 2010), NPI (Nov, 2014), and a bit of RNW (July, 2017). At this point, my favourites are #1 AQN and #2 EMA. I would have had NPI as a fav a couple weeks ago but it just sky-rocketed. I'm luke warm on BEP

Hi Sarge, Looks like you are in top of things with your investments unlike JG Shyster. I agree with you RNW is a total dog. I just hope Transalta will drop some assets to get it where I bought it. I am planning to get some more ALA next week while it is still cheap as I think we will see some share appreciation soon. Good luck! Opey
