"Hand it over" - Indian for "Stick 'em up!!!"

"Hand it over" - Indian for "Stick 'em up!!!"

To all that still follow this very quiet, yes even comatose, BB.

You will get a kick out of what is happening to Amguri Property, you know the one, that CNS shareholders put up $Millions to develop and the GOI just up and confiscated it without compensting CNS shareholders one thin dime.

Well, the Indians have a name for this kinf of action...It is called "handing it over". This is how it works - If you are in power over there and want something, you just go over to the rightful owner and say,"Hand it over!!!". And if they are not properly connected (i.e. not pwerful enough), you just have to "Hand it over".

Over here it is called, "Stick 'em up!!!" You know the old fashioned robbery line. Well, we all thought that the GOI (Government of india) just does it to Foreigners. BUT NO, they play that game over there all the time amongst themselves.

Here is the article as recently published in The Sentinel, an Assam newspaper on March 21 2012.

Hey "pic", NOTE that the Indians sure do NOT have nice things to say about the way CNS handled thiings and don't mince words about it either -... Canada’sCanoro Resources Ltd., which had taken the operatorship of the Amguri Oil Field, hasmiserably failed to managethe Amguri field..."

Read on. On my...a "conspiracy" is it...Well, how about that! Who knew...In India...Nah...Couldn't be!

Conspiracy to hand overAssam oil fields

From our Correspondent

SIVASAGAR, March 21 (2012???): “With an intention to increase the production of ONGC, Assam Assetto 6 MMT, Rs 2,400 crores had been released by the Petroleum Ministrythree years ago. But, instead of improving its performance, the production in the Assam Asset, at present figures around 1MMT, which suggests mismanagement of the fund,” said Promod Gogoi, President of the Telpothar Sangram Parishad (TSP), Sivasagar.

Addressing a press conference at CPI party office on Wednesday, the veteran CPI leader demanded a CBI enquiry into the matter. Alleging that production in the oil fields of Assam Assethas not been increasingsuggesting a conspiracy hatched by some high officials of the ONGC so that the rich oil-fields of Assam Asset could be handed over to the Ambani Groups.

Pointing to the letter sent to the Petroleum Ministry, Government of India, by the then Chairman and Managing Director of ONGC, Ajit Chandra Hazarika over handingthe Amguri Oil Field to the M/s Assam Company Ltd., Gogoi said that if such a thing happened, it would be against the interest of Assam and its people. Gogoi said, “Canada’s Canoro Resources Ltd., which had taken the operatorship of the Amguri Oil Field, has miserably failed to manage the Amguri field and, therefore the Petroleum Ministry of Indiacancelled the assignment and handed it overto the Assam Asset of ONGC.On the other hand, a division bench of the Delhi High Court has also directed the Centre to hand overthe operatorship of the Amguri Oil Field to ONGC on August 2010.”

Expressing astonishment over the unknown motives behind the letter written by the then CMD of ONGC recommending handover of the Amguri Oil Field to M/s Assam Company Ltd.,Gogoi demanded the Petroleum Ministry of the GoI to consider the issue in favour of the interest of Assam and hand over the Amguri Oil Fieldto either the Assam Asset of ONGCor to the Government of Assam.
