Shovel ready work

Any thoughts on if Stuart Olsen can capitalize on the statement the infrastructure minister said about shovel ready infrastructure projects as way to stimulate the economy. Did they capitalize on this in 2009/2010? Im new to this company and would appreciate any insight.

In 2008/09 when these stimulus funded projects were announced most of the projects were already in pre-construction and SO were the selected pre-con managers. The relationships with the government was between elected officials, clients and SO senior management. (I dont believe this exist at this point) If SO don't have these projects already 90% awarded to them then No the chance of being ...more

Also you need to know that during 2008/09 period SO changed their BD model to one where all employees were doing BD and was engaged with clients. FalconFlight is correct in saying that the relationships were between senior leaders, clients and elected officials and that contributed 95% to SO being successful in landing some of the stimulus projects.    By changing the BD model in 2008 ...more
