Non Controlling Interest?
What is it, and why is it sucking up 40% of our profit?

Heh... I appreciate the link, and realize that's exactly what I asked, but it's not really what I meant. There has always been a minority interest on our income statement, but who is it, and why do suddenly seem to deserve 40% of our profit when they were typically receiving a much smaller percentage?

It is the portion of their earnings and assets that belongs to the minority owners of entities they consolidate in their financial statements. Currently, it is primarily the interest that the investors (other than Counsel itself) in Knight’s Bridge Capital Partners Fund I have in the earnings and assets of the Fund. Hassel
