Buying a big printer is not really a growth plan in particular when it is declining like their own core business just more cost that you have to manage down just like the Relizon aquistion that was a disaster 

Why not invest in technology that can at least leverage their core business what ever that is

Sure, they have had lower revenues than initially expected.  The reason for this is that they have actually lost business on purpose because it was very low margin.
