Quick short and a long short

The first quick short was a huge the largest I have ever had. Shorted as the stock started to drop when it first came out, made a killing on that one now it's the quick shorts time.

The question now is, when should one go on a long short? Do I wait a bit to see if they can pump this up more or should I begin the short today. Just covered a long short on Tesla yesterday and sold my Nvida today which I have held since sept 1st 1022. So do I use these two windfall wins and put it all to work here as a short or do I wait a bit, hmm what to do,what to do. We know trump will keep

If you need the coverage yes I believe the borrowing costs are that substantial. If you don't need the coverage assets then the only fee paid is the brokerage stock borrowing costs ( the small fee paid to the lending brokerage ) which are anywhere from 3% to 5%. My personal short ratio is 20 to 1, mind you that is just me I refuse using other peoples money it can get you in trouble very quick.

It would be my guess 95% of all non institutional shorts pay a very large fee to insure the lender gets their money if something goes wrong, the other 5% are those that can show the lending broker the person shorting has enough assets to cover any possibility and those funds will be kept in a dedacated account. Most personal people use other peoples money hence the huge costs to short at times. It

Looking at your posting history I see not one bit of evidence of Nvidia or Tesla anywhere. If you read my earlier posts I said that this stock is too volatile for me to consider at this point if at all. In terms of EPS yes its low and another reason to be cautious but that both FB early on and Tesla both had and have very low EPS as well. No one is forced

Finally someone gets it.  DJT is incredibly difficult to short so puts are the way to go and looking at the premiums for calls and puts, it's obvious that there is far greater demand for puts than for calls.

Sure Girly, I know all about puts, since I have used them in past. Granted I got the price wrong when I took a quick look so it last traded at $17.50. All I can say Girly is its clear you are trading mostly on hatred and little on brains. Quite frankly I couldn't care less if this stock traded at $100 or down to $20.
