Will DULMF succeed if Polymet fails?

Does anyone know if DULMF is contingent or connected to Polymet in a way where they both win or both lose?

Polymet would be an open pit mine while the Duluth deposit is underground. IMO A positive outcome for Polymet would be positive for Duluth as well as it would show that the state really does support mining. The DM depost being underground would have a much smaller environmental foot print than  Polymet. Having said that, both mines would be processing ores containing sulphur which is what the ...more
