Looks like they are tossing the Brand.  I guess they focked this up so bad they are going to erase the Brand name Dixie.  I think their time and effort could have been spent on something more fruitful for the company and existing shareholders.  Dixie was a good brand but apparently instead of doing something to advance our shareprice they are going to waste time and money on a name change because Dixie has some Black history.  This kind of dyckin' around is just a distraction to where the value in this company is flowing to and it looks like it is orchestrated by somebody with deep pockets.  I hope they've got a 2nd nr for today announcing that Chuck is down the road, for cause.  The only way they could fock this up this bad is with great effort and I would still like to see other offers.  This is highly irregular imho.

... while trying to avoid getting into semantics about the name "Dixie" and it's origin/connotation ... i do believe this was the right move. It was necessary for them to save face. Hopefully this socially-justified decision brings some positive exposure to the company in concurrency with the merger. Regardless of the method....this change will cost the company big bucks in the near ...more

i should mention however, that there is an infuriating element to this "news." The fact that they have kept shareholders in the dark about operations and shortfalls for months now. I understand the CEO may be restricted to what can and can not be disclosed during a trading halt....but i mean... COME ON!!!
