The following is one of the things I've been saying and why

rich BOD running KL and other gold stocks, consolidating them,
are jerks, stupid or FED proxies.

From
'Silver and Inflation'
Trader Scott’s Market Blog
https://oneradionetwork.com/archive/trader-scotts-market-blog-silver-inflation-february-14-2017/
"In the big picture, the rising interest rates will help to continue
pushing inflation higher in sort of a symbiotic relationship (ie as
interest rates go up inflation goes up in a spread above it). The
long term outlook for inflation is one of the reasons for my approach
late last year to focus on buying silver, and not gold. Silver really
enjoys the inflation"

me- the silver emphasis is more when gold bubbles, and everyone
has their gold positions and mixture, already.
