The article states that 2023 9-mo production is about 1 million oz higher than 2022 9-mo production, not lower. 2022 total production was 14.2 million oz, and for full year 2023 the forecast is now 14.5 to 15.5 million, an increase of 0.3 to 1.3 million oz over 2022 (which was a record high year). I'm certainly no expert in interpreting numbers - I guess I was just reacting to this paragraph: "As a result of the production suspension at Lucky Friday, Hecla updated its guidance to between 14.5-million and 15.5-million ounces for 2023, down from its previous guidance of 17-million ounces."

The date of the Mining Weekly article was Oct 13th, the day after Hecla NR announced increased YTD silver production compared to 2022, and revised 2023 forecast/guidance downward due to Lucky shutdown. The reduced guidance has been out there for several weeks, so not a candidate for an early warning of a 'Monday Surprise'. Guidance for 2023 still shows increase over 2022 production despite
