Harte Gold Corp. > Ore grade

Ore grade

Have heard grade is now 8.1 g/t ,and now hitting some at 10 g/t. If in fact this is true, then the change from 3rd quarter average  of 5.7g/t to 8.1 g/t is 2.4 g/t. This would result in a 42% increase in grade since 3rd quarter.

I like your info Fred! Keep in coming....I feel Harte will have almost perfect timing to capitalize on the soon to be much higher gold prices
Comment by Homestone on Dec 14, 2020 9:41am
Good to hear that the grades are getting better, though hard to say where the price of gold is headed. Some say sharply up and 2500 by mid 2021 however if the aisc is still high there is still a problem. The Aisc has to come down as sharply as gold goes up to have any real effect.Bottom line is we are still operating at a loss for the foreseeable future and until that changes or there is a big ...more

Increase in grade is actually the best thing possible. It adds revenue with very little expense and therefore if we are in fact up 40% you should see a large drop in AISC from grade alone.  The most likely price of gold for the next few years is exactly where it is now. Speculating on something that Harte has no control of (unless they want to hedge some more) is pointless. As I mentioned ...more

Good commentary. No one knows where the price of gold is going. If it goes up good.If it remains stable you are correct in saying that grade would make a big difference.I think there is a big focus on grade control right now and trying to get maximum tonnage going through the mill.Interesting to see what becomes of the plan to increase production.Economies of scale would decrease the aisc.In my ...more

Homestone, They could move the Vallard camp to the mine site. With  a camp at mine site you can avoid all the highway travel, and you could control booze and drugs on mine site. If you look at Island Gold's new expansion you will see they are building a new camp at mine site ,and will close Dubreuilville camp site.
Comment by Homestone on Dec 14, 2020 6:56pm
That is probably the best place to have the camp but not sure if that could be permitted at the Harte site.Maybe it is in the plans already. It would certainly be good eliminating all that travel which is a costly thing.Vehicles, maintenance, fuel etc,not to mention risk of travel.

I have been told that workers are being told to expect a new camp at the mine site next year.
Comment by Mistyblue on Dec 14, 2020 9:03pm
Vallard will be using that camp for another year or more....
Comment by Mistyblue on Dec 14, 2020 11:45am
IMO the problem is not grade but tpd production ie a bigger mill is required....
Comment by Homestone on Dec 14, 2020 12:06pm
Not sure about that.In the presentation they said they have proved that the mill is not a bottleneck. The problem was getting enough ore to surface at a good grade ie,too much dilution.I am hearing the same thing as Fred, that they are getting into some good ore.Fourth quarter results will reveal that.Lots going on behind the scenes to make this work I believe.Financing is a big issue that has to be ...more

I'm worried about how long the money will last ,and seeing how and if they restructure dept moving forward. As far as the camp is concerned maybe they can make a deal with Vallard on their camp when they leave WR.
Comment by Homestone on Dec 14, 2020 1:15pm
That's a good Idea about the camp. But then they would be literally steps away from the bar. That's the only problem with that idea.I think one problem with the camp location now is the constant ferrying of employees to and from the mine site which is about 1 hour each way.Taxing on everyone not to mention the sometimes terrible road conditions. It's a secondary highway that doesn't ...more

BS krap, who is running the surface operation, don't  they know you can get modular units.  There must be 2 dozen portable Railroad living quarters (probably house 8 to 10  workers) in a field near Massey... Set them up at the current mine site and there is your transportation problem solved..WOW this is a wacko operation no wonder the sp is where it is, Mgmt/Supervisor crew ...more

You can't just set these things up wherever you want. What about power availability, running water, septic. Putting bunk houses on a mine footprint, especially a site that is remote, is not that easy. You are essentially planting a tiny fully services town site on unserviced land. I believe that are doing power upgrade work right now.
Comment by Mistyblue on Dec 15, 2020 9:00am
Trib these units appear to be self contained ie A/C, showers/ etc, not having been to the mine site l suspect they have office buildings shops etc with running water and deisel electric power.  If so more thought (money) should have been put into workforce comfort which will result in more production etc.  JMO
Comment by trib on Dec 15, 2020 9:58am
You are right that these units are self contained with all the equipment. I see them everywhere in my work travels. But they don't come equipped with electricity, running water or septic beds. This all needs to be set up before these units can be habitable. There is lots of hydro going in to the site, so generators aren't needed. But the distribution infrastructure needs to get set up ...more

Agree totally trib, but in this day of technology and portable infrastructure;  until the wells are drilled and the septic beds constructed (couple of months)  the units could be moved into position.  Hard to believe this has not been done already, just think of the POSITIVES that would be realized..... Not sure but I think because of the sensitive nature of the area it may be difficult to get permits for a camp on the property.Dayohasarrah lake is right near the property.A bit of information about that. There are 250,000 lakes in Ontario.Of them there are 2500 lake trout lakes.Very few of those 2500 are naturally reproducing and Dayohasarrah happens to be one of those lakes.Restricted fishing ...more

concur 100% but  a 5km bus ride is better than a 30km ride or what ever the distance is from the campground..  How far off the highway is the mine site?? and how far from mine site to Dayohassarrah L.  This endeavour IMO will succeed but an important feature is staff moral. JMO

Forget about a camp on site. It is not in the cards. Harte can not afford it. Nothing wrong with a 40 minute commute anyway. How about this stock price and action for the last two years. Can we talk about that. Look at the 20 year chart. See where we are and where we were and guess where we are going.... Cheers...
Comment by trib on Dec 15, 2020 10:08pm
That's the truth. In responding to you, I will repeat; the workers as well as myself have been told that new bunkhouses on site are in the plans for 2021.
Comment by Homestone on Dec 16, 2020 6:38am
Until the company puts out a news release stating that there is going to be a new bunkhouse on site in 2021 I remain skeptical about this one.I know it would be a good thing if it would happen but absolutely no mention of it officially from the company.
Comment by Homestone on Dec 15, 2020 10:02am
At the time the company took the quickest, cheapest solution to housing employees which was buying the trailer park  and bringing in a modular camp. One of the problems was that the units they brought were somewhat dated and needed and still need upgrades. In my opinion the obstacles to putting a state of the art camp at the mine site are number one permitting and number two money.I'm sure ...more
