Stockhouse reputation points

My apologies, ladies and gentlemen, but I feel the need to chastise Stockhouse once again. I have made remarks about this ridiculous 'reputation' system since it began. It doesn't work and I do not believe that any of our serious members are here to build up a collection of points.

I don't post often enough to see any buildup in my own personal allotment, but yesterday was an unusual day. I posted twice, on two different topics, and and was actually awarded 5 reputation points by my peers, for which I am grateful.

However, Stockhouse, like some well-known governments, considered that the votes of my peers were not worthy of notice and so only 3 of the 5 were accepted. Like I have said before, Stockhouse, it's a stupid system and stupider (is that a word?) because it is a fraud, if all the votes don't get tallied.

If you're going to use a system, what's wrong with the old-fashioned thumbs up/down? Why count them? By counting them, you give credence to all the bashers and bullshitters that show up on this site.

Thanks for reading my diatribe once again and I look forward to being ignored yet again.

cheers

I agree Ulster, likes do not need to be tallied.Half the time I'm just rambling because I feel the need to respond to someone's post which is silly of course but that's just me.Really I don't know any more than the next guy, likely even less,I just have a way with words that's all.Cheers(Glenfiddich is my choice of scotch though I don't imbibe much any more)
