This is causing confusion on EOG's Board also, I believe someone is jumping the gun on South America and some are confusing it with Africa.

Yes, they could possibly see oil shows in the mud returns and some flourescence from the collected cuttings samples indicating oil. It would not mean it is commercial. They have just now completed setting the 20 in. casing and were preparing to drill out the casing shoe this weekend so they are nowhere near near reaching any targeted horizons yet. OJ

Nocoma is something around 3200m with Wingat at 3800m, so they are still a long way off.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but point being the two siesmic layers are about 600m apart and will be encountered within a week of each other. Other point, the wingat site will keeping drilling past the main prospect, so if you are an optimist, first results could be available 7 weeks post spud-in.
