Oiljars would appreciate a synopsis of salient points if you don't mind. Thanks.

Question; Has the risk changed on the Murombe prospect with Wingat data? Answer; The risks are lower for the shallow prospect (did not catch name) risk is same for turbadite section.

Very prolific source rock, charged with oil. Just need porosity. no porosity present in Wingat
Comment by Oiljars51 on May 22, 2013 1:39pm
HRT-11; 15-20 m thick, oil had been displaced by gas, seal mitigated.

- de-risk Murombe in general - source rock is excellent to charge reservoir with enough porosity - they are confident to find reservoir based on seismic - very high amount of gas, very high pressure in the well - main issue was to finde source rock to charge reservoirs source rocks found, now they need reservoirs

Solomoes- More seismic planned, 5-6 prospects ahead.   Namibia- Q? Do yo need to recalibrate the seismic for the geologic model? Answer- They have recalibrated seismic reflector velocities from Wingat for Murombe. Solomoes- 4 more important ares with oil potential, Have found 6 commercial gas weels.Looking to drill south of HRT-10 in Bl 194 -195. Wells HRT- 1, 6 & 11 oil potential ...more

Wingat and Murombe similar in that they have same source rocks. Differences in reservoirs, Wingat was on the shelf line, never developed (porosity), different depositional enviroments. HRT-11, 2 lines of sesmic shot @ 3m, new seismic shot at 15 m depth, large charges. Basically modified solomoes seismic operations. Very difficult to understand questions sometimes. 4th farmout - Still talking ...more

My thanks to all who have given us insights into the CC. Thank You.

Wingat - significant gas in mud returns after 1500 m, rich gas, 5000 -25000 ppm gas. Caught gas samples and tested, Good well control by Marianas crew, excellent team. Will need to listen to this multiple times, lots of good info. Positive outlook, stay long, stay strong! We have a plan and the resources!

My favorite quote: "we didn't find the easy stuff," meaning they found source rocks but no reservoirs. The positive spin: since there is source rock everywhere in the Walvis Basin, somebody (hopefully HRT) will find reservoirs attached. However, don’t think anyone asked how they know Murombe has the same source rocks. The negative: there are no more wells planned for the Amazon ...more
