Can HRT Execute

on their new plan. They announced last year they wanted to get out of drilling in high risk high cost areas like nam and the solimoes and concentrate on buying low risk mature oil fields and rework them, polvo being the first play. This can be a very good plan if you can execute..look at what anadarko has done..the big question.. are these idiots good at anything other than enriching themselves and screwing shareholders.

They have hundreds of millions of tax losses, which will eventually expire in a few years. I would imagine that they're hoping to start selling oil, turning some sort of profit, so they can realize this very useful (if not currently useable) asset. I imagine they don't want to get out of Namibia, since there seems to be still so much interest, but they know the market value is $0 until ...more

If they do in fact have hundreds of millions of tax losses GeneFrenkle, then I would guess that they would be very valuable. If that is the case wouldn't it make them an attractive buy for Big Oil that's looking for just that? Shell and others have been acquiring licences close to where they drilled last year in Namibia, and from all the talk about more acquisitions there when you consider ...more
