No that's not the one... .... you're mixing up your Court cases buddy. The next one (8th May) is against Gecamines and happens in DRC and has to do with Gecamines wanting KAT's local OpCo (KCC) to be dissolved because KAT's primary sponsor (Glencore) failed to fix OpCo's broken (alleged) balance sheet. This will be the two protagonist's first scheduled Court appearance wrt

I think a good outcome for KAT is a high probability. Thoughts on what this means for the SP? If we declined from 1.80 on announcement of the suit do you think we could get back to 1.50+?????

Guys, no matter what the Court says, is anybody concerned with the fact that KAT's Stockholder Equity is negative ?

This is the major decission point IMHO. This is where the DRC court could decide to take the ownership of KCC away from Glencore (i.e. KAT) and give it 100% to Geacamine. Most likely we will have news on Monday that Glencore and Geacamine have come to some agreement and that the court case will not be needed. Or the court case basically becomes a confirmation of what Glencore and Geacamine have

I see. Nonetheless, a likely massive move in the KAT share price come Tuesday.. Seems to me the DRC is playing hardball as a negotiating strategy. Taking over control and screwing Glencore would be a bad move.. DRC is dying for FDI and their government just wants something out of this in the short term.

In my opinion DRC will take KCC away from Glencore and will find another JV partner. This will be good for Glencore which has already many other problems with its mines around the Globe.
