That was an incredibly detailed report put out by Goldman and of all of the projects they analyzed Katanga really is the major standout.  Really impressive.

Is this good for KAT?  If if so why are we not seeing a rise in volume and SP?

Very detailed report. Katanga Mining WOL:  198% IRR, $17.6 billions NPV and C1 cash cost: -$2170 per ton of copper (or negative $0.99 per pound).  The numbers match my estimates very well.  Katanga Mining is one of the lowest cost mines if not the lowest one.

Katanga Mining WOL:  198% IRR, $17.6 billions NPV and C1 cash cost: -$2170 per ton of copper (or negative $0.99 per pound).  The above numbers are telling me that KAT is $5 - $10 Canadian stock within 2 years after the 2nd train is fully commissioned.  The only things needed are courage and patient!

There are still some areas around the mines that Katanga may be able to find more copper and cobalt resources from the technical report.

Wonderful numbers @Sogosohubidu201 and very supportive of multiples of shareprice higher than where we are presently. And no credits considered for project de-bottlenecking and/or H2SO4 production from plant already under construction. KAT's C1 will go lower still.   Note: The GS reports in Metric Tonnes pegging KAT's C1 at minus 98.5 c/lb. For those that don't know ...more

EveryoneKeeps reporting good news and good news but the stock keeps dropping every day 2 to 5 points what gives it should be soaring on these good news

These "cobalt" stocks are thematic and trade as a group.  As I mentioned previously the sentiment is god-awful at the moment (for whatever reason, fundamentals are still fine).  The Goldman report also reiterated a huge deficit in 3-4 years.  Katanga is lumped in with the cobalt juniors and if you look at the charts they are moving in tandem.  Until the company ...more

As undervalued Katanga is, given the current market segment and the global issues, (trade war etc...) how low will this go before the turnaround? First we thought it would not break through the 70s, then 60s, now we are in the 50s, maybe it would hit 40s, before the turnaround?

I do think the stock is being pushed down by a few front players. And once the Q3 report comes out they will cash in huge by selling with highwr profits then expected.  This is all a move to acquire as much as possible at a low price. Someone is buying it every day by dropping the price.  I know now it will be a good Q3 and the stock will have a large boost. All the way into the new ...more
