no one is denying the attractive of this asset, but with every large player scaling back their high capex projects, i don't see how LCC remains attractive with a +$3 bln upfront capital budget in an inflationary charged areas such as Argentina. Chart never lies. Read it and see what's happened. How would you feel if you were an investor +15 bucks!?

There's a number of reasons why Lumina is attractive: 1. It has already proved that it has worthwhile copper under the ground. 2. It is still expanding its proven resource. 3. The current value of Lumina means that its underground copper is currently valued at a little over 1.5 cents per lb. The same copper located in Chile instead of Argentina would be worth several times more underground and ...more

i agree with one thing you said. There's a lot more upside at 8 bucks than downside.   I am just not confident this name gets taken out with the Argentinean risk and the capex. You know what happens to stocks when they announce a strategic process and nothing happens? NOT GOOD.

I have a feeling you are in the $ 15 camp.

don't own any stock. I have been tempted given ALL the risks (and there's tons) to get in the mix below 8 bucks.

GIve them a chance. Strategic reviews rarely take less than one month and usually will take up to three or four months. Besides, it's more than just a review, they are actually progressing some of the options but obviously they can't shout about it until they have got to a point where they can.

i am suprised they announced the review. Companies rarely perform well after announcing a strategic review. If they don't announce something in a month or two, the stock will slowly slide as its clear a deal couldn't be struck. Not to say this is LCC's faith, but its never good to announce a strategic review in my opinion.

Styless, people do not go on bullboards and write about companies unless they own the stock, I'm guessing you have never been in charge of a multi million (billion) dollar company before, so you would not know how long any process should or will take. If you have something valid to add to the discussion please do so, even Touchez has some good arguments/points even though a lot of his stuff is ...more

Well said.

i do know exactly how long a process takes. I know that most people don't announce they are running a process. They usually run one and announce a transaction without ever hinting at something. 99% of deals are done this way champ. I do know that the 1% who've announced a process and didn't materialize one shortly thereafter have significantly underperformed their peers. In this case ...more
