Buybacks

They should be buying back a lot of shares at this price!

Need the Board to step up and allocate more capital to this and take the free float down.

It is a not sense if they don't! No urgency for debt reduction at this level. Unless a transformational acquisition is on the table (in a new vertical), or a complementary acquisition for the ag business (or similar move), I would love if they could buyback 10% of outstanding shares under 70$.  90$ in book value per share, good/reasonable return on equity. This is a low risk high ...more

Maybe they want to monitor market conditions for a couple of quarters before committing to a large buyback. The market has been discounting this given the future outlook.

It will be interesting to see what the other vertical opportunities look like. Medical devices seems a bit far afield. Aerospace and Maritime could be too volatile. I would like them to look a little deeper into the construction vertical and had wondered if Manitowoc would be a good fit. The good news is that the share buybacks and acquisitions are by no means mutually exclusive. They have ...more

Thanks for sharing Manitowoc, interesting business.. I also hope they could grow the construction business with a complementary acquisition.   With Ag business integrating 2 recent acquisitions, and Mobility large enough, I prefer construction to new verticals entry that will come with sacrifices.   Let see what the futur hold, and perhaps some share buybacks will not be a bad ...more

Agree on the construction vertical! Aviation probably too much of a stretch.
