Influx of capital
Apparently, the Japanese see a lot more potential in LYSCF than investors from other countries. They just increased their stake by 200mm(A). Part of the deal provides Japan with a steady stream of Rare Earths for a long, long time. Still have not heard whether the floods in Malaysia have curtailed operations there. Also not sure about the progress of the potential U.S. operations. For a company with so much going for it as well as a proven track record, I find it interesting that the SP is taking such a hit
over the status of future oprations in Malaysia. The ruling is still under appeal, and I can't imagine that the country would let the income stream from Lynas' operations go away. Maybe Lynas will use some of the money being injected to speed up the progress of the new processing operation in Kagoorlie.
Ms. Lagard's next update may prove to be very interesting.
