JTF uncovers 23 illegal oil bunkering sites in Anambra

AWKA — THE joint team of Nigerian Army and Naval officials, Monday discovered over 23 illegal oil bunkering sites in Anambra State and equipment worth about N500 million.

The General Officer Commanding, GOC, 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Adebayo Olaniyi who led a combined team of the Army and Navy to various sites at Ogbakuba in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, expressed surprise at the discovery, describing it as a high level of economic sabotage.

According to him, the current spate of illegal oil bunkering business in various parts of the country had continued to undermine the economy of Nigeria and vowed that the army and other security agencies would intensify efforts  to address the ugly situation.

He said: “I am short of words.  What is happening here is very alarming and I make bold to say that this is at variance with the developmental agenda of Mr. President because where oil bunkering thrives; it will continue to sabotage our economy.”

Good news.My initial reaction is that these guys are part of it and scarificed a bit of the operation to restore some balance.How can they be surprised and short of words?Regardless,it is good news if it helps restore something resembling stability.There was another report where 12 officers were kidnapped and presumed dead though.

Hold on a minute.I was shocked to read your post but now I see why.You must have only read the last one where i agreed that Timminco was a good comparison to ORT after someone else compared the two.If you read back several of my posts you will see I said it seemed like a real bargain after it broke through a buck and that I wish i had bought some down there.If i hadn’t been getting

fair enough tcbmill, but it's so misunderstood that it takes a lot of reading. as far as share price, there was a crazy amount of shorting due to the distorting, as evidenced by casual observers making the timminco comparison, and the "i've heard it doesn't work" stuff. it had a couple of short raids as well that frightened the carp out of people. long long story but
