Asteroid mining is going to happen.
Canada needs a spaceport. It needs to be a short distance to a deep-sea port, so it's either BC or the Maritimes. It would never get approval in BC, as well the Rockies is a huge barrier. Moving rockets over land or up the St. Lawrence Seaway is a ridiculous notion, that means the interior of Canada is out. I can see rockets built close to the great lakes travelling down the St. Lawrence to Nova Scotia but not the other way. The environmental agencies have fast tracked this for a reason. If MLS is successful in building the infrastructure the town of Canson will be expropriated if their proximity is deemed a problem.
