Mr. Muller measured the feet of shelf space the three largest U.S. toy retailers - Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Target and Toys R Us - dedicated to specific action-figure movie toys this year. He found the only brand that succeeded in expanding its shelf space is Captain America.

Montreal-based Mega Brands Inc., which has a licence for Captain America toys, was unable to make an executive available for comment.
