Rubidium is most often found in, pegmatites.
There's several species of - pegmatites.
Quartz, Franite, Feldspar, Tantalum, Aluminum, Lithium.
Making it rather didficult to isolate the origins of, Rubidium.
Especially when rubidium also runs with - irons.
Yet, there's a few mineral that shows themselves often, when
rubidium is present.
ALUMINUM - TANTALUM - LITHIUM.
Which in a ( molecular ) way, could point to, aluminum being
the " root " of each of these hybrid mineral species.
The presence of rubidium could be still in it's natural
grey metal form.
And as research papers have pointed out, salts and hydrogen
create the magic of transitioning rubidium into various compound
forms of minerals.
If one pulls forward " spodumene pegmatites "
one will see that the lithium can be, white, rose, purple, green.
Same transitional color attributes as, rubidium.
As mentioned,
There appears 3 different ( geologies ) present at GC.
White Pegmatites
Orange feldspars with minor irons
Grey aluninum ore bodies
Pegmatites pop up amongst the felds + greys.
Which begs, which geology would host the highest grade
rubidium ?
Why rubidium ?
oz vs oz
rubidium is more expensive than gold.
One could play the odds and seek just the lithium
with in the pegmatites, ensuring a banked contingency
of at least " lithium " would provide a base value prize for effort
and hope for a tag along, rubidium as bonus.
Or, probe a tad further and find the " source " origins of, rubidium.
Keep in mind,
the grades provided for rubidium were from, rock chips.
That means - at surace rubidium values of, 0.35%
Persoective ?
That's the eq of, ( 7.7 lbs ) per tonne.
And if placed in the context of oz's
and rubidium being more expensive than, gold.
Yeah.... that kind of, expensive.
And why a small rich deposit would hit big.
How would i tackle GC ?
One last round of, rock chips...
Fully scoping each of the geologies, diff colors,
hoping to zero in on the, high grade - rubidium.
Secondly,
if successful - finding the rubidium source...
i would reformat the - drill campaign.
50m drills - multiple - at least 20
aiming for a near surface inferred resource from get go'
50m depths, less disturbence, in and out - pulling ores
minimal impact
DOES ALUMINUM HOLD THE - RUBIDIUM CLUES ?
Run for the white pegmatites ?
Run to the feldspars ?
Run to the grey rocks ?
Or.... what about the irons, since niobium and tantalum
associate also to iron and....rubidium ?
Are the....rose, lime, purples colors just as important ?
I would say, yes....knowing rubidum has same color
dispositions as, aluminum and lithium.
Here's GC claims photos....
How would others tackle this project if told to
find the source of, rubidium ?
