Looks like we have some activity in MGP, maybe a higher offer on the table? Glen did mention that they had several companies go through the property the last few months. YRI offer is the first of many to come I would imagine.

Yes - many companies took a look over many years (Jim Rogers first put up the For Sale sign in 2011/12 - and he could have got 40 cents easily at the time). For all we know Yamana was the only offer, if there was another bidder you have to wonder how much they thought MGP was worth. Until and unless the price goes above the takeover offer any speculation of another bid is just wishful thinking ...more

I believe this to be the period for another comany to step up and outbid the auy offer. I've seen this happen over and over. We'll see. I, like 3P, am a wishful thinker. Isn't everyone here?

No. Explorers are wishful thinkers - they drill a hole in the ground and hope something good is found. And investors in juniors have a similar mentality. But both need to be tempered with discipline. MGP gave up on Headway out of discipline and that's when (wishful thinking) investors should have given up too. Easy to say that with hindsight but it was easy to say that at the time too.
