Bizarre price movement

Todays 7% decline is bizarre

I bought some more

The movement looks and feels like an algo has been set to push it lower

Had I the sufficient financial firepower to step in and take a stand, and take on all comers at this price, I would do so and enjoy the show.  I can do this with small companies sometimes and it can be entertaining to smash the algos to pieces when successful.

I agree, I don't think unique to MRC but feels like algos play (or attempt to play) retail like a fiddle, or maybe it's big-money battles.  You have these runups that sometimes feel engineered to create FOMO, suck in capital, and create volume - then they probably spank you with your own shares lol (does feel that sometimes we are also the product to be scalped). Raw trades show RBC pounding it all day Exiting or active strategy to push the SP.  I ponder the latter; a sell algorythm pounding the bid rather than deftly seeking the best price, which is the habitual for large institutional algos MRC remains a laggard with regards to recent REIT runup.  It should be higher if one feels it should rise similarly to its peers vs +/- 3 months ago ...more
