Gotta ask
if anyone can explain.
"The technology development will consist of the design and engineering of the dry kiln probe, testing and validation with CSA standards approval, and evaluation of the probe in a high temperature kiln application in the facilities of one of the largest global cement companies in a specified facility in Ontario, Canada. The current design development has focused on reducing power consumption by up to 83%, installation footprint by up to 90%, and capital costs by approximately 50%, when compared to current technology in the market."
How does a "probe" do all that? Isn't a probe something like a measuring device that provides information? "Probe" design A. Then change to design B and see if the results are better. Keep changing the design until you get to the potential desired outcome? Or does this "probe" spit out the design whose footprint will be 10% the size and at half the costs? That would indeed be worth a lot of money considering the capital costs and footprints in the cement industries, but just don't understand how a "probe" will replace so many specialists that are involved in designing these facilities.
Or does this probe simply provide information on the emissions, energy use etc and then the brains have to start thinking about technologies or designs that can produce greater benefits?

I think I figured it out. There are already dry kiln probe technologies out there. KNR's version is expected to use less energy, be smaller and cheaper. So, this is not something new but something that would potentially be better. If it works out, then all they have to do is sell it....more effectively than those selling current technologies.

Gotta ask... do you not have the capability to feel embarassment? Or is it a capacity question...If a humiliation detector were set up near you no one would ever get any rest (not that we do anyway with all your posts talking with yourself)
