Today was Triple Witching Day , 3rd Friday every 3 months when huge funds rebalance thier portfolios at the end of the quarter. I check, out opening volumes under highest volumes as that's when the action happens it's a good way to see what is on the big guys radars. BMO was definitely on thier radar at the open.

Add to that it's when  options expire. Interesting thing happens to the bid and ask prices about  90 minutes  before the open. BMO was a bid/ ask of .04 cents . RBC was 1.10 on my screen.
