Visible Gold

Today's NR states: To date four holes have been drilled, all successfully intersected the No. 22 Vein with 3 of the 4 holes returning visible gold. Preliminary assay results are expected in early March.

Last month's blockbuster drillhole, which returned 444 g/t over 1.5m, was # PC-11-251 (see the Jan 11, 2012 NR). And the gold was at a very shallow depth.

From looking at the diagram published today:
https://www.pcgold.ca/downloads/PKL-press-release_27feb2012-figures.pdf

it seems that the recent 4 holes are deeper, and a little to the west of hole PC-11-251. And 3 of the 4 new holes returned visible gold!

I'm sure we'll all be looking forward to seeing the formal drill results next month.

I think the reference in Feb 27 news release is to the *previous* results with visible gold :-( 007

That's an assumption why don't you call them up : /

I disagree.  The results of the previous drilling have already been released.  I think the 4 new holes which were drilled last week are the ones which contain visible gold (or at least 3 of them anyway).  The results of the assays on these 4 new holes will be released in early March.  If that is not what was intended by the update, then the text was very poorly written, lending ...more

Yes, I was wrong, I reread the release, it indeed refers to the four new holes (previously there were 11 or so). 007 _______________ From prevoius release (dated Jan 23) "Veining intersected in 9 of 11 holes drilled in the area this fall, 4 of which returned visible gold" https://tmx.quotemedia.com/article.php?newsid=47731018&qm_symbol=PKL

oops, I think you're right, opti007.  I probably misread today's NR.  Your interpretation sounds more reasonable -- since the latest drill program only started last week, it's unlikely that we'd have 4 cores above ground yet.  Thanks for pointing that out.
