Poisoning your dog
Last week, I was "outwest" and learned that a new neighbour had poisoned his own dog. Apparently, the dog had been sprayed by a skunk. So, he laid down some poison to kill the skunk. Naturally, the dog ate the poison and had a 140 km trip to the vet. Now, anything that happens with regard to this guy is greeted with: "What can you say about a guy who poisons his own dog?" I believe there's a metaphor here. But what do I know?...
