Peru needs oil revenues

I'm all for being environmentally responsible and and support alternative energy, the people responsible for blockages and violence absolutely need to be re-educated. Moving over to alternative energies dosen't come free, oil revenues will be required over many years to bring alternate energy technologies to Peru. I'm sure Petrotal is making all the right moves to make this happen, environmentaly, social, economic  and other wise. The oil must flow, it's in their best interests. The people involved in sabotaging oil barges or pipe lines are walking environmental disasters and need to be stopped.

The incident is over and Petrotal is ready to sign an amendment to the 2.5% sharing agreement.  Petrotal has been paying into the community fund since last January that has amassed millions. Petrotal is waiting for consensus with other parties to complete the agreement.
