"the masses" buying gold

It is the Chinese who are buying gold by the hundreds of tonnes, every two months. Right now not only is none of the gold China is producing not leaving the country, but recently they bought 1/2 of the world's mined monthly tonnage as well. Also, I believe China is the world's largest gold producing country. They are slurping up huge amounts of supply, consistently. I am in a backwards city of 7 Million here and see Lamborghini's (7 in the city I hear), bmws, hummers, etc. gold in international...

I don't believe the Chinese are buying hundreds of  tons every few months.   Please provide proof. China slowing, no longer trade positive and going to  spend money on productive stimulus like infrastructure. Europe goes down and china will be hurting badly because they have an export economy. 2008 financial debacle saw gold  drop- not go up 25%. Let's try and keep it ...more
