That's what I heard, that Rogers can't shoot down the deal even if they have to sell the mobile spectrum rights.

I seem to remember, when the deal was announced, that Rogers may have to give something up to get the prize.

It was cofirmed this morning on BNN that the 'Hell Clause' was in the deal b/t Shaw and Rogers. Maybe that's why the price is up solidly today?

How can you own a stock and know so little about it. The clause has been known to be part of the Rogers bid for a very long time. I sold all of my Rogers shares becasue they agreed to that clause. That does not however guarantee this deal will close. All it says is Rogers will do whatever they are told to do but if the deal is completely blocked for whatever reason then the clause is no longer in ...more
