Actually.... The analyst covering STP for TD ceased coverage. Could it be because he(Dembicki) was fired for gross incompetence? Would not surprise me.

It looks like he's leaving the financial world altogether by joining Seven Generations. That name rang a bell, 7G have property in the 64-4-W6 (Kakwa) area from what I remember. Pretty rough territory. Looks like he'll be huffing it in the bush.

that's what she said.

Hilarious! There's no beating around the bush with Shat. To answer an earlier question in regards to breakeven - Production for Q3 was 4,767 bbls/day (McKay and Senlac) for the three months ended September 30th, 2013. The loss during that time was approximately 1.5 million according to Lutes on the conference call. Opex costs should not have changed significantly since then. However, we ...more

The heavy oil differentail has decreased a lot in Q1 2014 compared to Q4 2013. STP will probably get additional 15-20 $ / bbl in Q1 compared to Q4 2013. See report for Meg Energy for instance or Historical oil prices on Baytex homepage. STP will probably have Operation Netback around 15 $ / barrel in Q1. Funds from operation is expected to be around 6 milj.
Comment by f96jho1 on Apr 30, 2014 5:45pm
Correction. Negative funds of operation of 6 milj should it be.  If the ICD is working as expected Stp is a buy on those levels.

f96jho1: Thanks for the input regarding the natural gas prices. It's greatly appreciated. NH
Comment by nikehercules on Apr 30, 2014 8:49pm
Yup, that nat gas price has gone up. Page 10 of the COS MD&A (released a couple hours ago) indicates their costs have gone up from $2.48 per GJ to $5.43 per GJ
Comment by f96jho1 on Apr 30, 2014 5:33pm
nikehercules  OPEX has changed due to higher Natural gas prices since sept 2013. STP has some hedging of GAS contract but OPEX will increase. WCS is lower now compared to Q3 2013 but higher compared to Q4 2013 so breakeven will not be as in Q3 2013.
