It is 42% over 4 years

From The Globe and Mail

Tentative Air Canada pilots contract includes 42% raise over four years

Air Canada’s pilots will receive cumulative raises of almost 42 per cent in a four-year tentative agreement announced early on Sunday morning.

The agreement, which must be approved by more than 5,200 Air Canada pilots in votes over the next month, averted a possible Wednesday strike or lockout at Air Canada.

The pilots, represented by Air Line Pilots Association, will receive a 26-per-cent raise retroactive to September of 2023, then 4-per-cent raises in 2024, 2025 and 2026, according to the tentative agreement seen by The Globe and Mail.

The pilots will also receive 84 hours’ pay if the deal is ratified, a bonus that would bring $85,000 for the most senior pilots and $20,000 for those at the bottom of the seniority list.

The pilots are paid according to their title, years of service and plane flown.

In the second year of the tentative agreement, which begins on Sept. 30, 2024, a Boeing 737 captain, the most senior crew member, is paid $280 to $312 an hour, depending on how many years they have been in that position,

A first officer on the same plane starts at $87 an hour, which rises to $207 if they have 12 years’ seniority.

Hourly pay for a relief pilot, the most junior, on a wide-body plane starts at $87 an hour. The hourly pay for captains on wide-body planes ranges from $317 to $424, depending on the model of aircraft.

My short analysis ( What the agreement means ) was based on the 1,9 B$ additional cost disclosed by ALPA and not on the % wage increase. So, it is  still acurate.
