SAFE or SAFER is just one small part

of what is needed to let marijuana and hemp become a legal business with a level playing field with every other US company.

Decriminalization seems to be key but rescheduling will also get the cannabinoid industry closer.

InterState commerce for cannabinoids will also be essential and makes more sense than nonsense.

They also need to level the playing field with beverage alcohol such that cannabinoid infused beverages can be served in drinking establishments alongside alcohol offerings and as an alternative.

There's too many good reasons to offer cannabinoids as an alternative to highly destructive alcohol.  Healthier, less calories, possible health benefits from cannabinoid infused beverages but forcing separate establishments is an old wives concept of not allowing alcohol and pot consumption together which had merit when edible cannabinoids could cause overconsumption because they were slow acting.

Science and botany have stepped up to make the new wave of cannabinoids that are similar to alcohol for reaction time.  Fast onset and fast offset, on par with the way alcohol works for people.

Mixing the two should only necessitate a warning label about the effects and let the adults make their own decisions if they want to mix alcohol and cannabinoids.  Keep in mind that CBD is non-psychoactive but appearing in adult flavoured beverages that would be great substitutes for Shirley Temple no alcohol style beverages.

You might just find consumers going to an alcohol bar just to have a cbd drink or two to help with the aches and pains or to help them sleep better that don't drink alcohol.

Or you could have your favorite cocktail and finish with a less caloric option of a cbd beverage or a buzzy little thc beverage.

SAFE is a fairness move, mostly, that will help the cannabinoid industry by helping with financing and another method of payment besides cash for cannabinoid consumers.  Lending and borrowing will still be subject to usury rates if cannabinoid players are bad bets financially and I hate to say it, but most are.

The big players seem to be able to attract investment at reasonable rates and finders fees but not so much for small players.

My crystal ball is showing me a very different landscape for the cannabinoid industry as the law of supply and demand is oversupply and too many players, not to mention, too many black market suppliers and growers.
Most need to succumb and disappear so the survivors can be healthy and grow.

SAFE getting a pass could buy a little time for the junior hopefuls and would make it easier for a consumer to flip his card for his purchase.  That option is probably not available to the black market purchaser that does business out by the garbage bin behind the bar.

SAFE, bring it on, as a step towards fairness for the marijuana and hemp business but temper your expectations because the supply and demand issue needs to correct.

Choose your investment well!
