11X EBITDA for fishnets? Is this real?

In a distressed market with publicly traded free cash flow producing companies as far as the eye can see on fire sale for 6-7X EBITDA, this management team sinks half of their cash at a stratospheric 11X valuation into a completely opaque and illiquid fishnet maker? Then pledge to layer additional management into its structure and claim it will immediately improve margins? How are you all not flabbergasted? Mittelmans have lost their minds and for the board to support this suggests, at best, costly lack of business judgment. And please do not forget, they reneged on their written promise to return capital to shareholders because they said they would need all $500,000,000 for this deal.

Is this a joke? They could've returned that cash to shareholders but instead paid 11 times EBITDA for a rope manufacturer in India? What does management see that we don't?

They should have started  covered call etf of Banks and energy stocks with the money they got  and that would have better than buying these a b c d companies ,,,,

Adani shares are getting smoked again now by Credit Sui down 30 % in a day Looks like Aimia got bad timing with the Buying Indian company  if they can cancel the deal it would be lot better for shareholders

Average EV/EBITDA multiple is 13.9x and the median EV/EBITDA multiple is 13.8. So, roughly a $380 million fair value which is about $4.70 per share. Apply a 20% annual growth and its even hugger at roughly $6 per share.. The shorts were caught with their pants down  load up at these prices
