It's not too late for a special divy and/or hike in quarterly divy. Last year they announced big refinancing in early December, which was critical for big payout, then announced big payout mid December for a very merry Xmas, then in January hiked the quarterly divy. So slim chance of a "special" still exists but I'd expect a small bump in the quarterly divy will be announced in ...more

I'd be surprised if a 2nd special was paid this calendar year.  I'd also be surprised if they didnt raise the dividend q1 2022 as FCF is large and cash in the bank won't help an already low ROE.

We live along the St Lawrence and I suspect we will see the the Seaway stay open for sometime yet . Water levels are still good and can't see things freezing too fast.

Off st Catherine's in Lake Ontario. I can only recall one or two times in 20 years there was any freezing there. There is a "closing date" for Montreal locks right around year end ...more

Still a half dozen or more big ships at anchor of port Dalhousie. No sign of winter at this end of the lake. +13 today. Hit +20 briefly Saturday.

Ships are gone but it looks like we are in for a mild winter and the seaway will open early. Again. Nothin to do but collect the divy for now.
