thoses that are getting the special DIVY. Congrates to all. The price for Algoma is now way to low. Hoping to see a bounce tommrow.

I find it somewhat odd that investors held to collect the $1.35 dividend only to dump their shares for $2 less the moment it went ex-dividend.

No, they sold in advance of the ex-dividend date & then pummeled it on low volume to buy them back for less - it happens almost every time

Not what the charts say. Some sold before ex-dividend, but normal volumes for this stock.  On the ex-dividend date alc got pummeled on very high volume. Lots of sellers holding out for the dividend and dumping their stock after.
