It is good to see vessels transiting through the Seaway system again. Estimates put a traffic recovery timeline between 3 and 5 days. Currently, 8 Algoma vessels are waiting their turn to pass through the Welland Canal or currently transiting down the canal. It is important to stress that while vessels are slowly making their way through the system, we are still in the process of assessing the full extent of the closure's repercussions.
