All or a portion of the $14-million (U.S.) principal amount can be converted into Ascot common shares at the option Nebari at a price of 72 Canadian cents which is equal to a 20-per-cent premium to the 30-day VWAP (volume-weighted average price) of Ascot common shares up to and including June 15, 2023.

the Bots needed to smash the share price into June 15th in order to achieve the C$0.72 option pricing. The vwap on June 15th reached ~c$0.60, therefore the 20% premium = c$0.72.

The timing is suspicious, but these are completely unrelated events. The selling last Friday was June 16th, done by the SILJ quarterly rebalancing. You can see it on their website they update daily. The selling Friday didn't included in the Nebari deal conversion price
