Owns large percentage in fund. Very stable and conservative business model. Very strong cash flows with low breakeven prices. New projects going well. 20 years of stay flat inventory. Low natural gas prices don't affect company too much. Expecting major share price appreciation. Can sleep easy at night.

It was interesting that when he was asked about POU he had nothing but glowing comments re growing their production and yield but for his incremental dollar today it is not the first name he is going to go out and buy.   But ARX was.  ;-) GLTY and ALL ARX BULLS

I'm not surprised. Increasingly, funds and pension plans etc. only want the best of the best. That means large, well-capitalized names with the strongest balance sheets. I love how he said low NG prices aren't even that much of a problem for ARX. Why? Tough sledding if you're selling unhedged into AECO. If you have any hedges and sell into US markets and maybe some LNG contracts maybe you skate. It will be interesting to see how this all keeps shaking out after rate cuts. GLTA ARX BULLS

Yeah and that's why you don't hedge it all.  My understanding is you hedge enough to cover costs and expenses and leave the rest of production with exposure to market torque in case of rising prices. I find it hard to believe you came here to tout BIR's management strategy over ARX's. I mean maybe in the future BIR outpaces ARX when NG goes up but maybe not.   ...more
