Discussions about who this guy is, is relevant in one major way, he gets things done at a very high level with stakeholders and officials that are decision makers. If he worked with Fortescue then I think that's great because it means he is also focused on developing Canariaco. 

I'm obviously not the only one thinking about this. Here is a comment from another site.

So why  would  ATCU  call him an independent in their NR cand not just be transperent about his position in Fortescue? Maybe his ability of voting in favour of a cheap takeover offer or the next peanut financing? Always great to get someone with such an impressive background on your Board of Directors, but why the secrecy around him if there is no issue with him into the position?

"@zonk - the issue of Robert McDonald, I contacted Giulio and had a phone conversation with him yesterday.   So, it is not correct to say that Robert McDonald is an asset of Fortescue. He is an independent director of Alta Copper
