5$ Yawn ,are we there yet

Still holding tight . Wake me up when this reaches 5$ ,I bought at 14-18 cents and still holding tight on 2/3rd of my original holding  .
Either we reach 4$ by year end  based on current oil prices or  depending on how XTO was taken private ,we get taken out for north of 5$

You know, we're all happy for you, making millions of profit. But a lot of us investors are not that fortunate, and did not buy so low. So stop bragging already, it's getting a little tiresome, no hard feelings Khyber

I'm not tired of it. Keep bragging out there in the peg. Hey, what did you pay any way MC? I still shake my head I paid 11 f'n cents in 2020. Twice. March and right around Halloween. Doubling down was veeeery scary. Kyber , you would be bragging too if he didn't blow your wad on weed stocks and magic beans. If you don't want to hear from someone like Manitoba that knows what he' ...more

Maybe a little higher even. Politically stable and tax loss offsets will be a premium soon enough

Agree ,6-7.5$ is possible if there is a bidding war  , there are guys on CEO.CA who have 20 and 30$ targets for this stock . I dont think those are acheievable unless oil hits 250$ but again who am I to comment. We hit 100-125$ from 50- 60$ last year . I am going to wait to see whts their plan for returns of capital to investors by this year end ,if they are not taken out by then .   ...more

I say 5$ ....with some sort of one time dividend
Comment by 5oceans on Jul 03, 2022 6:52am
Do you actually think that a company with such a significant investment in a oil sand would be a desired asset now? I get it, the price of oil and all of the rest supporting arguments against the fact that all big internationals are leaving the sands. I hope that you are right. I had that thought but the heavy bitumen keeps weighing in. One way or the other, i chose to be here and hold for the $5 ...more

Point taken but the cve cpg and wcp of the world are picking up those assets. Means they see value. Small oil is buying big oil companies so them leaving is not a concern...some are leaving because there investing in renewables...how's that working out!
Comment by 5oceans on Jul 03, 2022 9:20am
Well ..., sure. For the sake of a good premium if this company was sought after, how would the connection to oil sands take or add valuation? You see, as others thought, i also thought that this could very well be a target for a bid or, an arranged merger. All ok. I have been here thinking $5(depending) sell target under normal activity, but with a bid on the table i would hope for more. Ah well ...more

You go from pesmestic to hopeful! Oil will have to show several good quarters but there will be privatization and m&a. Oil companies are bad....that's what is being taught in school's...sad if they become tobacco stock's....we need Oil but the war on them is unfair. If 100$ plus Oil remains 5$ is realistic for ath but no way those a bte reach 50...or cpg reach 40 again...those days ...more

We'll probably start to see M&A activity pick up in H2 as the Oily names start to clear the deck of their debt. With oil prices over a hundred bucks it sure makes ATH a target with the reserves they have. Oily names have just been treading water in H1 2022 while they're clearing debt. It's about to become even more exciting in H2. glta

Answer, yes. The oil doesn't know it was "heavy" when it goes in your tank. Down with weight shaming.
Comment by Maxmoe on Jul 04, 2022 5:09pm
History lesson, equinor, the geniuses behind the bazillions the Norwegians invest from their oil profits, decided to bow to social pressures and "leave the sands". In January of 2021. They sold 100 million shares of ATH at 18 cents. Eric nuttal bought half. Never found out who bought the other half. That was the worst trade I've seen since I started investing in 1978. Well maybe not, ...more

How many "Tesla's" have you lost since the high of $3.44 Manitoba? How quickly things can change, eh?
