Short sales

At February 15th there were 3,972,177 units shorts! 

That is an increase of 108,777 from January 31st..

Were the shorters right?

short interest fell every reporting period for 3-months and meaningful. the short borrow rate remained very cheap relative to other names which shows the perceived risk was pretty low if one expected a cut. i really think it's material weakness to the sector (sentiment driven) plus the other reit - dream - which cut and shook up the space further. then u had melcor which is a total dumpster ...more
